UPDATE 5/6/2015 THIS SHOP IS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS
Welcome! Featured today is “Bag Lady” Days at Life’s A Stitch Quilt Shoppe near Janesville, Wisconsin.
“Bag Lady” Days
Who doesn’t love a sale? Most of us have limited resources. Since we haven’t been blessed with an endless sum of money we look for options to stretch our dollars. After all, the farther we can stretch them the more fabric we can purchase. 🙂
There’s one local quilt store that offers a fabulous opportunity to save some bucks. Once a month Life’s A Stitch Quilt Shoppe has their “Bag Lady” Days. “Bag Lady” Days actually extend Friday through Sunday during the first weekend of the month. It’s very easy to participate. Simply stop by their shop and purchase one of their very own shopping bags. Then during a series of designated days take your shopping tote and your wallet to their store. Not only can you save 20% off their regular priced on bolt fabrics but you are also eligible to receive additional savings. The additional savings offered varies each month. One month it might be: buy 4 regular priced fat quarters and get one free. Another month it might be: bring in a finished quilt top and get 25% off backing fabric (minimum 1 yard cut). Life’s A Stitch Quilt Shoppe has a schedule of the planned sales for the year. Of course, they reserve the right to change the schedule at any time and discontinue the program as well.
If you have any questions about the program you may contact them for clarification. Oh, and one more thing. . . I’m told that if you were to forget your bag, no problem. Simply remind them that you have one of their bags and they will honor the current “Bag Lady” Days prices.
If you are one of those people who suffers from symptoms of withdrawal when your dose of fabric shopping is curtailed then by all means visit their shop as often as possible. If, on the other hand, your wallet demands restraint then plan out your shopping extravaganzas for the first weekend of the month and take advantage of their savings opportunity. Either way, get out there and shop.
Happy shopping! Tell them Cindy from In A Stitch Quilting sent you.
