I recently finished nine small art pieces, all of which originated during the May retreat. This post is day four of nine.
Art Quilt # 4
I call Art Quilt # Four Flowers because many of the fabrics used in this piece are made with images of flowers. My Flowers art piece measures 13 7/8″ x 9 3/4″

I love your color combinations. I love your detail. Just love! How long have you been doing this? Before this year, I had never followed a quilting blog and now I follow two of them and I am always amazed at what you gals come up with. Makes me want to read and cuddle up with a book and hot chocolate plus I just want to stare at the detail. These ain’t your cheap mass made quilts…truly art.
Well thank you very much Dawn! I’ve been sewing since I was a child, quilting since the early 1990’s, long arm quilting since 2012 and free form art quilting since May. I’m thrilled that you are following quilting blogs. I think we can learn from one another. Painting and quilting are very much alike. They both create images using color. No they are definitely not mass produced.
Wonderful!
Thank you!
