I follow Roseanne’s blog over at Home Sewn By Us. Recently she shared a post about a quilt called Regatta. After reading the story I decided check out the pattern. The instructions looked super easy and a great candidate for my supply of scrappy strips.
Last Friday I received a post from Roseanne announcing a Sew Along. Starting on 1/1/2018 she and all tempted parties are invited to follow along. I’ve decided to join in and make a Regatta quilt for myself. The pattern makes a lap sized 57″ x 74″ quilt. Here’s a photo of the quilt as provided by Pinterest.
Doesn’t that just tempt you to make one of your own? Ready, Set…….
That will be a cool quilt, looking forward to seeing what fabrics you select for yours!
Your rendition in classic blue and white with gradation variations is lovely, Cindy.
🙂
I’m always looking for ways to whip up a ‘scrap quilt’ and this fits perfectly with all the 21/2 inch strips of fabric scraps leftover from decades of quilting projects.
I downloaded the info – but not sure about committing to the sew-a-thon yet. We’ll see.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
Thanks for the compliment but the quilt pictured is not mine. I would love to have it though. I think it would make a great candidate for a scrap quilt. Well at least you have the pattern. Who knows, by the time you get to January you just might be game for something new. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to record a comment. I appreciate your willingness to participate. I hope your week is a good one too! 🙂
Oh, my bad!
Yes, I’m open to to something new come January – just might throw my fabric into the participation circle then!
Laura, There is always room for one more. 🙂
Actually, it just might! Thanks for the info and link. BTW, I requested to follow your IG, but my IG name is gingerkwilt, so you’ll know who that is!
You are very welcome! Sounds good. I will look for you. 🙂
Yes it does tempt me, but I need to resist!!! I so don’t need another project right now😫 but it’s so pretty and I’ve been sitting at the sewing machine and enjoying it!!
Awe! Don’t let the temptation get you. Stay strong. You can resist. Besides you can enjoy it by watching my progress and the progress of others. 🙂 Or, you could just give in and pile another project on top of your to do list. LOL!
Lol so far I’m going with resisting, but I’ll let you know if I change my mind!
AJ, I understand if your schedule is already to full. If you choose not to join in at least you can enjoy following along. 🙂
I will definitely do that!!
Hi Cindy,
Thanks so much for spreading the word! I wonder what fabric palette you are going to use?! Can’t wait to see . . . and it starts in only seven weeks from today! ~smile~ Roseanne
I am excited too! You are very welcome! That’s what friends do. Right? I wonder what pallet you will use? Only time will tell. Well, and you will be extra busy because you will also be participating in my challenge that starts on the same day. Be watching for my Friday post! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Oh, I almost forgot to give you a big thank you for commenting! I appreciate the time you took from your busy life just to type a note to me. 🙂
Aww, you are so sweet! I’m looking forward to Friday and the big reveal. I’ll share on my blog, too. ~smile~ Roseanne
🙂 Thank you in advance for the mutual support. 🙂
You are going to have fun with this one!!!
I totally agree Tracy! It should be very fun. I just may make it in a much smaller version. 🙂
