2018 Goal # 2

100 Blocks_Master

I proudly own  Tula Pink’s book City Sampler 100 Modern Quilt Blocks. Aside from thumbing through the pages over and over again I’ve never actually set out to make the blocks, until now. I am declaring 2018 to be the year to conquer this book. If all goes well by December 31, 2018, I will have 100 finished blocks.  I know the goal is a bit lofty but I think it’s attainable.

I hope to make 2018 the year I finally make the 100 blocks I’ve been admiring.

  1. Ambitious, yes, but possible. If you did 2 per week, you could still have 4 weeks where something prevented you from making any! During the I Wish You a Merry QAL, it was about that pace, and 12″ blocks, finished. These are smaller. You’ve got this! =)

  2. Hi Cindy,
I swear I posted a comment on this earlier this morning . . . but I don’t see it. I wanted to let you know my fabric arrived for the 2018 QAL! Earlier I said something like this goal is very obtainable for you . . . 2 blocks a week. Are you planning on picking a grouping of fabrics to keep them coordinated, or use stash? I will be watching, reading and cheering you on from the sidelines. ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. You did. Unfortunately we did not have internet all day today so I couldn’t read or respond to anything. Somebody cut a fiber optic cable. No internet was certainly a bummer for me but more so for my hubby because he was working from home today….or should I say he had planned on it. 🙁 Internet just came back on. Woohoo on your fabric arrival!!! Almost time to get that party started too. 🙂

  3. Hi Cindy,
That is a bit of a lofty goal, but one I certainly think you can easily manage. Two blocks a week perhaps. Are you going to select some fabrics that you’ll dedicate to project so that they all coordinate, or are you going to stash it? I’ll be happy to read along with you! ~smile~ Roseanne

    1. Roseanne, it should be a fun goal. Can’t achieve it if I don’t try. I am going to stash it. If at all possible I don’t want to purchase fabrics. We will see. Thanks! I’m glad you will read along! 🙂
