Melanie McNeil from CatBird Quilt Studio announced on March 24, 2018, that she was contemplating enrolling in the #The100DayProject on Instagram. As I read her post the thought of doing anything for 100 days straight absolutely exhausted me. Perhaps it was because of my lack of caffeine or a strong desire for a nap. 🙂 Whatever the case may be I initially rejected the idea. As I read more of her post I came across the link for The 100 Day Project. Letting my curiosity take over I decided to follow it to learn more.

I browsed the website reading their guidelines for participation. Their contagious enthusiasm got me thinking of the goal I had set for myself late in 2017. The goal was to navigate through Tula Pink’s book 100 Modern Quilt Blocks during 2018. The two projects  obviously had something in common, the # 100. The more I thought about the two challenges the more energized I got to set them in motion. Thus, I am hereby declaring my intention to combine these two challenges and see just how successful I can be.

I will make every attempt to meet the challenge of posting an update on Instagram everyday beginning April 3, 2018. How often I will share my progress here on my blog remains to be seen. This shall be an interesting endeavor given that several summer months are included in the 100 days. No time to look back now!

  1. I’m not going to sign up for the #100 Day project but I love the idea of the Tula Pink City Sampler blocks, I’ve already selected the fabrics, and might unofficially do it along with you!

  2. Hi Cindy,
This sounds very ambitious but I will certainly be following along. Both on IG and here, I’ll be cheering you on. ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. If your goal falls by the wayside at some point, there’s another chance this summer with a specific Tula Pink 100 block challenge, also on IG, from Gnome Angel – Starting date is July 7.

  4. I like the idea of both challenges, My problem is too many on going projects now. I’m on your cheering squad.

  5. This is exciting. No matter when you decide to start there will be thoughts of pause…truly is there any time of year that is “less active”? I’d even put in a mulligan where if you are unable to participate for any given reason you get to add it on to the end.
