I’ve always struggled with self confidence.
Growing up under the influence of an overbearing father left me struggling to appreciate my uniqueness and my talents.
There are very few people in my life that have helped me to see past the verbal abuse as lovingly as my maternal grandfather.
My grandfather died decades ago but his kind words and warm thoughts are helping me even today.
Is there a special someone in your life?
If that person is still among the living, then let them know how you feel.
The act of sharing those thoughts will warm your heart and theirs.
Food for thought...
I am glad you have/had special people in your life that helped you heal and know your value. Sorry for what you experienced growing up. I know that you are one talented artist and that must be your inner special awesomeness coming out into the world!
You are very sweet for saying that! Thank you for your thoughtful comment.
Thank God for sending certain people into our lives to restore what had been broken! I grew up in a dysfunctional family where so many parts of me were broken. It wasn’t until I met the man that I would marry that I knew I would be OK. He’s been the person who’s made me into a new person. Go glad you had a wonderful grandfather to show you the way.
Merry Christmas to you!
I’m so happy you found your special person! Merry Christmas to you!
