#The100DayProject

Melanie McNeil from CatBird Quilt Studio announced on March 24, 2018, that she was contemplating enrolling in the #The100DayProject on Instagram. As I read her post the thought of doing anything for 100 days straight absolutely exhausted me. Perhaps it was because of my lack of caffeine or a strong desire for a nap. 🙂 Whatever the case may be I initially rejected the idea. As I read more of her post I came across the link for The 100 Day Project. Letting my curiosity take over I decided to follow it to learn more.

I browsed the website reading their guidelines for participation. Their contagious enthusiasm got me thinking of the goal I had set for myself late in 2017. The goal was to navigate through Tula Pink’s book <a href=”http://Tula Pink’s City Sampler: 100 Modern Quilt Blocks” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>100 Modern Quilt Blocks during 2018. The two projects  obviously had something in common, the # 100. The more I thought about the two challenges the more energized I got to set them in motion. Thus, I am hereby declaring my intention to combine these two challenges and see just how successful I can be.

I will make every attempt to meet the challenge of posting an update on Instagram everyday beginning April 3, 2018. How often I will share my progress here on my blog remains to be seen. This shall be an interesting endeavor given that several summer months are included in the 100 days. No time to look back now!

2018 Goal # 2

100 Blocks_Master

I proudly own  Tula Pink’s book City Sampler 100 Modern Quilt Blocks. Aside from thumbing through the pages over and over again I’ve never actually set out to make the blocks, until now. I am declaring 2018 to be the year to conquer this book. If all goes well by December 31, 2018, I will have 100 finished blocks.  I know the goal is a bit lofty but I think it’s attainable.

I hope to make 2018 the year I finally make the 100 blocks I’ve been admiring.
