Miss M’s First Quilt

When I first purchased my longarm quilt machine I was so excited. Not wanting to go through the process of assembling a complicated quilt, just to have something to work on, or loading in some plain old fabric, I took the simpler route. I made this cute little quilt for my first granddaughter Miss L. The design is nothing special. It’s just a remnant of fabric in the center panel and a few coordinating pieces, from the same fabric line, to round out the appearance.

Once my little quilt was assembled and ready to go I set my longarm machine in motion. To the quilts surface I added a softly, flowing meander stitch. As you will note, with a closer inspection, I also added a little flair with a few carefully placed flowers. The quilt definitely won’t win any awards, which was just fine with me. It did, however, win the best recognition anyone could ask for….the BIGGEST hug a granddaughter could ever give.
