Who says that fiber art must contain a complex array of elements…not me! The base of this item, a rectangular shaped felt swatch, was adhered to a 8”x10” stretched canvas frame. Layered on top is a simple grouping of fabric scraps…a blue and green checkered strip of cotton material, a smidge of two-toned chevron blue and a neatly cut circle of wool. The fragments were attached with strategically placed hand stitching and a single French knot. The name, a simple one at that, was chosen because of the blue and green fabrics.
A paper barrier was added to the back of the frame to protect it from pests and dust. To aide in display I added a sawtooth hanger. Also present is silicone bumpers to help keep the frame level as well as encourage ventilation.
This wonderful specimen would make a lovely addition to your home.
