Deb G. has a talent for combining tee-shirts and fabric to make memory quilts for her family. This quilt was obviously made for a baseball fan. The more quilts Deb makes the more her talents are refined. This quilt is a wonderful display of what she can do with a pile of cherished memories.
For this quilt Deb selected a variety of thread colors. Chosen were red, white and gray. Several stitch patterns were used to compliment Deb’s artistry. Within the photos you will see straight lines, wavy lines as well as bubbles or circles. This is how Deb’s quilt looked when the quilting was finished.

Thank you Deb for your continued patronage! Your quilts are truly amazing!
I’ve enjoyed making quilts for all five of my grandchildren. Some of them were simple quilts made from a single piece of fabric surrounded by a border. Those gave me a wonderful place to practice my long-arm quilting skills as well as being a cozy little quilt suitable for small hands to snuggle. My first three grandchildren were the recipients of those quilts.
After they were finished I decided to make each grandchild their very own lap quilt. Using the same pattern Cathedral by Villa Rosa Designs I made five different quilts. These are the first four.

The fifth one was made for my youngest grandchild, Mr. B. With the help of Mr. B’s Mom we chose a color pallet of oranges, blues, white and black. Mr. B was born during the summer of 2016. Even though I started his quilt long before he was born, it wasn’t finished until many months later. Here’s how Mr. B’s very own lap quilt looked when it was finished.

Mr. B’s quilt was quilted with an off-white thread and a geometric stitch pattern. I’m so thrilled with how it turned out. I just love the fabric colors and how the stitch design helped to acentuate their patterns.
My goal of creating a lap size quilt for each of my grandchildren is now complete! Who knows what is next.
Sharing updates, on the quilts I’ve been entrusted to make or long-arm quilt, is one of the most exciting aspects of my job. The quilt I am revealing today was particularly special because I was commissioned to make it. If you are a quilter then you are well acquainted with the tremendous amount of money and time involved. After months and months of work I am very happy to report that the quilt was finally finished and has been delivered to the recipient.
What a pleasure it was to make. The quilt was made using the Yellow Brick Road pattern by Atkinson Designs with fabrics from Artisan Batiks. I covered the entire surface with a swirly long-arm stitch pattern. While I don’t have a photo of the entire quilt I do have several showing sections of the quilt. Here they are.
